Adoptable dogs

23 dogs are looking for homes right now. Most of them live with foster families around the Kansas City area. Adoption fees on our current dogs run $200 to $400. Every adoption includes spay or neuter, vaccines and a microchip.

How adoption works

Apply online, our board reviews it, we set up a home visit, and then your dog goes home with you.

The whole process

Not sure who fits?

Tell us about your home, your schedule and any other pets. We know these dogs well and can point you to a few good matches.

Can’t adopt right now?

Fostering helps a dog just as much, and every dog page has a sponsor button if you’d like to chip in toward their care.

Every dog here costs something to care for

Vet visits, vaccines, heartworm treatment, food, the occasional emergency. ARF runs on donations and fundraisers. That’s what pays for all of it.
